As many as 105 out of 150 MBBS seats at Chintpurni Medical College and Hospital, Bungal village, Pathankot, were filled during the counselling at the State Institute of Health and Family Welfare in Mohali yesterday.
The counselling was conducted by Gurdeep Singh Kalyan, Director of Medical Education and Research, Punjab. He said today 221 applications had been received, out of which one was from Haryana, which was not considered.
He said the counselling had been delayed yesterday as the permission for conducting it was to be received from the AG’s office. The counselling, which was to start at 11 am, started in the evening. Candidates had to sign an undertaking as admissions were done on a provisional basis because of the interim orders of the Supreme Court.
