Mumbai to get India's first monorail service Saturday
The much-awaited Mumbai monorail service between suburban Wadala and Chembur will be inaugurated on February 1. Starting February 2, the service will initially be operational between 7 am and 3 pm, but by the time the final phase is completed, the monorail will run for around 19 hours a day. Initially, the time between two monorails will be around 15 minutes, but once the entire stretch of 20 km is operational the frequency will increase reducing the time between two monorails to 3 minutes.
