MUMBAI Mumbaikars said it was a chill like never before. And the Met department vouched for it by declaring that Wednesday was the coldest day in the city in the past 46 years.
The temperature at Santa Cruz dropped to 9.4 degrees celsius. Back in January 22, 1962, the mercury had dipped to 7.4 degrees.
Wednesday was also the coldest day in February ever recorded in Mumbai by the Met department. The previous coldest day was February 10, 1950, when the temperature was 10 degrees.
