Preserving its history and contribution to the nation in style, the Indian Air Force on Wednesday concluded its year-long celebrations marking the 75th anniversary of its raising by unveiling the Platinum Jubilee Capsule at the Air Force Museum here.
The capsule -- cast in stainless steel with a platinum-like finish -- contains a historical record of major activities conducted during the platinum jubilee of the IAF this year and a record of activities since the diamond jubilee in 1992.

The data for the platinum jubilee capsule is stored in digital format as well as in printed copies. They are stored in an inner chamber of the capsule under pressurised nitrogen to prevent deterioration over time...Read...
