    The Central Bureau of Investigation on Friday conducted raids in 7 states, and at over 20 locations in Delhi-NCR including the residence of Deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia in Delhi in connection with the liquor policy case.

    Here's a look at the other developments in the story so far -
    1. Early on Friday, CBI carried out raids at Delhi deputy CM Manish Sisodia's house in connection with the liquor policy scam in Delhi.
    2. Manish Sisodia said in a series of tweets that he will "cooperate" with the investigating agency and that the "truth shall come out." "CBI has come. They are welcome. We are extremely honest. Making the future of millions of children. It is very unfortunate that those who do good work in our country are harassed like this. That is why our country has not yet become number-1," he tweeted in Hindi.
    3. Sisodia has claimed that he is innocent and the CBI was working at the behest of the Centre. "There are false allegations against both of us. The truth will come out in court. Sisodia further said in his tweet in Hindi," Sisiodia said further in his tweet in Hindi.
    4. He also alleged that those who perform in the country are "harassed", and added that these people are troubled because of the excellent work done by the Delhi government in the health and education sector.
    5. Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal in a tweet said that the CBI raids were welcome, and remained confident in his stance that nothing will be found even now.
    6. The CBI also carried out searches at the premises of the then Delhi Excise Commissioner Arava Gopi Krishna, a 2012-batch IAS officer in connection with the case.
    7. An FIR has been registered in connection with alleged irregularities in formulation and execution of Delhi Excise Policy brought in November last year. The FIR names four public servants including Manish Sisodia.
    8. Delhi Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena had recommended a CBI probe into the Kejriwal government's Excise Policy, 2021-22, over alleged violations of rules and procedural lapses.
    9. The Delhi government led by the Aam Aadmi Party implemented the new liquor policy on November 16 last year.
    10. As per the new policy, 32 new liquor zones were to be created. Retail licenses were given to private bidders for 849 vends across the city, however, only 639 new liquor shops were finally opened.
