Modi government legalized attempt to commit suicide

In a major decision taken on Wednesday, the government of India has decided to do away with the law that criminalized attempts to suicide. The government has decided to decriminalize "attempt to suicide" by deleting Section 309 of the Indian Penal Code from the statute book.

18 states and four Union Territories have backed the government's decision. Now, if a person attempts to commit suicide and survives, he won't be treated as a criminal. The Ministry of Home Affair said, "We have decided to delete Section 309 of the Indian Penal Code."

"attempt to suicide" is not the right thing which a person does, yes it would be difficult for the person to live in society and some other person teasing him/her as a criminal, Noe that person also has right to live their life as common man not as criminal.
