Setting the tone for their meeting two days later, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Japanese counterpart Shinzo Abe today took to Twitter to reach out to each other and the respective countries.
While an "excited" Modi tweeted in Japanese language to strike a chord with the Japanese people, Abe responded hours later by saying "India has a special place in my heart".
Both leaders said they eagerly looked forward to meeting each other.
