Football and motorsport look set to collide once again in 2007, after Ream Madrid president Ramon Calderon confirmed that his club was set to sponsor 'a leading' team in several grands prix next season.
Although the possibility of the football club becoming more involved in F1 was rumoured during this year's presidential elections at the Spanish giant, albeit by Calderon's rival Juan Palacios, few thought it likely to happen. Real rival Barcelona was among the clubs sucked into the aborted Premier 1 initiative, but the Madrid club now appears set to make a play on the biggest motorsport stage of them all.To know more click:
