Why there is so much diversity in Indian Religion when compared with others?

Diversity in "Indian Religion"

You need to be more specific when you say 'diversity'. Diversity in what way? Anyway, I'll take the liberty of making assumptions and try and explain thereof.

Unlike other religio-philosophical systems, Hinduism caters to the needs of people of all mental makeup. It allows you to bow down to a Personal God (as in Christianity or Islam) and it also lets you believe in an Impersonal (without attributes) God (Spinoza's God). Hinduism understands people are different, and it has different prescriptions (if you will) for people at different levels of spirituality. You see the diversity when you compare these different stages. It's like comparing caterpillars with butterflies. Two are one and very much the same. It's your perspective that leads to ignorance.
