Dussehra / Vijaya Dasami is one of the biggest festivals of India. Not only in India Dussehra is celebrated in many places like Srilanka, Bangladesh, Nepal and in various other places. This is the festival of ayudha pooja. All Hindus worship lord Durga on the event of Dussehra. All the Indians believe that this is the powerful festival. Most of the people in India celebrates this festival with great devotion goddess Durga. People in India worship goddess Durga for 10 days with different avataras. Goddess Durga will be decorated in avataras of Sri Maha Lakshmi, Saraswathi, Bala Tripura Sundari and various other avataras. The goddess Durga idols will be placed in most of the temples.

Brahmacharini – Meaning Brhmcharini
Chandraghanta – meaning Durga Maa glows like the moon.
Kushmanda – meaning the whole world is in her (Durga) legs.
Skandamata – meaning the mother of Karthik Swami
Katyayani – meaning to have birth in Katyayana ashram
Kaalratri – to destroy the Kaal
Maha Gauri – its meaning mother of White.
Siddhidatri – The meaning of all that accomplishment.
