Security guard sentenced for stealing 'Harry Potter' copies
A security guard who admitted stealing copies of the latest "Harry Potter" novel six weeks before it was released and trying to blackmail publishing giant Bloomsbury was jailed for 4 1/2 years on Thursday.
Aaron Lambert, 20, of Kettering in central England stole the copies of Harry Potter on June 2 from distribution centre where he worked .
He also admitted trying to blackmail Bloomsbury by threatening to reveal the secrets contained in the eagerly-awaited Harry Potter adventure.
Bray jailed Lambert for 12 months for theft, 18 months for the firearms offense and two years for blackmail. The sentences will run consecutively.
