Need advice on UML and Rational

Just downloaded Rational from the site to test out how it works. Has anyone used this. Heard that its a must know in the UML world. How is it from a career perspective? Can someone give me feedback on the same. Am providing the link for download in case you are interested. Download Link

Does it make sense to learn Rational? Yes it definitely does! Heard that in the UK the minimum pay for a person who knows the software is approx 43000 pounds. Here is the software link. Experts please advice. For UML chaps you definitely need to learn this piece of software.
