Default Short Skirts Are Banned In Chandigarh Discotheques

Chandigarh administration has made a new provision in which they ban short skirts in discostheques to "control places of public amusement 2016". The reason behind this policy is "scantily dressed women" or any "indecency" and some bureaucrats feel that discos and bars are a breeding ground for anti-national elements. Now the bar timing also has been fixed from 2 am to 12 midnight.

This kind of policies rather kills the nightlife of Chandigarh and ruin business as well. It is all about your morals; what one find indecent may be innocent for someone else.

According to the administration, “some of the newspapers and electronic media has misquoted, mis-interpreted and distorted the facts related to this policy, especially with the section 6 of the policy.” So, now you can wear whatever you want, just remember the club will close at midnight and not 2 am as before.
