As Captive diesel generation running cost of Rs.15-20/kWh with increase of 12% year on year and Grid electricity at Rs.7.5/kWh with increase of 10% year on year is very high, Solar energy is already having an edge over conventional energy sources. Life of TATA Solar Modules is approx. 25 years , after payback of Solar system cost Power generation from this system is absolutely free for customer as there is almost no running cost. Further to this there are Multiple incentives/enablers in place like 80% accelerated depreciation in 1st year, 30% Capex Subsidy, Renewable Purchase Obligations (RPOs), Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) etc. Typically a pilot project can be installed in 2 to 3 months and can be scaled up at any point of time. As we are based in Jalandhar servicing and support will not be an issue.
