Mumbai (PTI):- Three schoolchildren were killed when the CNG cylinder of a van they were travelling exploded here today, police said.
The explosion took place in the Millat Nagar area of suburban Oshiwara, they said.
The three children, all girls, were killed on the spot.
"The children are from the Millat High School and had boarded the Omni van to go home. As the driver started the van, the CNG kit exploded killing the three girls instantly," they said.
Some other children in the van were injured and taken to a nearby hospital, police added.
