CBEC amends Annexure-1 in Form A-1 (Application for Central Excise Registration), Includes 'importer' under Part I (Identification of business requiring registration) and also as a separate category under Serial No. 3. Further, notifies quarterly return form for registered importers w.e.f April 1, 2014.
The Auditing and Assurance Standards Board of the ICAI has on 28.02.2014 released a Guidance Note on Audit of Banks, 2014 Edition. The pdf version of the Guidance Note is available for download. ICAI to provide only certified copies of evaluated answer books in soft form with a view to ensure faster delivery of certified copies to the applicants.
The Hon’ble High Court allowed the appeal placing reliance on the decision in case of CIT v. Kelvinator, (2010) 320 ITR 561 (SC) emphasizing that AO has power to re-open, provided there is tangible material to come to the conclusion that there is escapement of income from assessment.
Delhi VAT – Online details of Invoice and GR (T-2 Form) in respect of goods procured from outside Delhi shall be submitted online by dealers, using their login id and password, before the goods physically enter the boundary of Delhi.
