ICAI Global Webinar on ‘Impact of COVID-19 pandemic on ‘Reporting and Assurance’ on 13th April 2020
COVID-19, an infectious disease caused by a novel Coronavirus is exponentially spreading illness and causing deaths to citizens throughout the globe and has been recognized as a global pandemic by the WHO. The various governments are taking drastic measures, including locking down of entire country to reduce the impact of this catastrophe. You are already aware that these disruptions are hugely impacting businesses significantly and bring with it several issues and challenges to preparers of financial statements and auditors.
ICAI, being the second largest accountancy body in the world with its more than 315 thousand members assumed this responsibility to develop a guide for all professional colleagues who are engaged in rendering accounting and assurance services across the globe. In continuation, ICAI innovates to put-forth the experts views of global leaders on concerned topic from a single platform, accordingly, planned a Global Webinar to highlight important areas that require particular attention in respect of preparation of financial statements and assurance activity thereof. We are sure that in these challenging and uncertain times this webinar will surely help many preparers and assurance service providers across the globe in discharging their professional responsibilities more effectively.
