The 36th International Film Festival of India(IFFI)-2005 will be held in Goa from November.
The logo of the prestigious festival is based on the National Bird Peacock. The theme of the festival is "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakom" (The Whole World is one family).
This 10 day long festival will screened over 200 films.
The best film will be awarded the "Golden Peacock Award" comprising a cash prize of Rs. 10 lakhs.
The most promising director will be honoured with "Silver Peacock", inclusive of a cash prize of Rs 5 lakhs.
A special Jury Award will be given to the director of a film for his individual artistic contribution.
