The seat sharing tussle between the Congress and National Congress Party continues to rock the Maharashtra Assembly elections. Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan has hinted at Congress contesting alone in the upcoming polls if a consensus is not reached.
The remarks came after Chaven held a late night emergency meeting with senior Maharashtra Congress leaders. He has said that a contingency plan has been put in place and that candidates have been finalised for almost all of the 288 seats in the state.
