Former Bihar chief minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad Yadav was rushed to Mumbai on Monday morning following serious illness.
Yadav will reportedly undergo heart valve replacement surgery. Two of his valves need replacement.
According to reports, Yadav avoided extensive road travel because of his heart condition and used a helicopter while campaigning for the by-elections to 10 seats assembly seats in Bihar this month.
