  • Use microwave to kill germs!

Two minutes in a microwave oven can sterilize most household sponges, U.S. researchers reported on Monday.

A team of engineering researchers at the University of Florida found that two minutes of microwaving on full power killed or inactivated more than 99 percent of bacteria, viruses or parasites, as well as spores, on a kitchen sponge.

"People often put their sponges and scrubbers in the dishwasher, but if they really want to decontaminate them and not just clean them, they should use the microwave," said Gabriel Bitton, a professor of environmental engineering who led the study.

before asking the readers to get a microwave, think about the price we would be paying to use it,what i mean by price here is not only money.Microwave user energy which is in shortage all over the world, microwave emits radiation which is harmful to human beings pets and plants, microwave gives out heat again which harms our enviroment.in short we are harming our planet with all there modern things and making our fut generation suffer for our deeds. All the big manufacturers ignore all the pleas and warnings of global warming, just to earn from the consumers. The ice at poles are melting, warning us not to play with nature but today he we dont own a micro we think we would be called old fashioned.scientists world over fear that with this rate of global warming the coming generation's average age would be 40-50 years.more the electronic items we use the more we harm our God given home, the earth, and this is apart from harming our health,as radiation exposure may cause different cancers in human beings.these are facts despite being denied by the manufacturers.its high time we think about our planet.say no to unwanted gadgets, after all we could cook our food when microwave was unknown, save money and health!

No it is no so!Using a microwave to cook your food has its nutritional benefits. More vitamins and minerals are retained with microwave cooking than with many other methods of cooking. This is because microwave cooking requires a shorter cooking time, covered cooking and little to no water. Too much water, surface exposure and overcooking can rob foods of nutrients.

Microwaves are ideal for defrosting frozen food items such as meats, poultry and vegetables. It takes just a few minutes, and is one of the safest methods of defrosting.

So their are lots of benifits of Microwave!
