  • India - Where time has no value

Just look at the performance of the Indian bureaucratic setup.

So many major projects have not kept their target dates of completion.

The LCA project of the defense ministry. Supposed to be completed and
the planes are supposed to be in production by 2000. Thousands of crores
wasted, The planes still don't fly and those claims and promises have turned
out to be hype and hot air.

The MBT for the army. Another white elephant project to be completed
10 years ago. Still stuck in the mud. Huge waste of tax payers money.
There are hundreds of similar projects left incomplete by the way side.

Look at the airports. Cow sheds stuck in the mud progress.
Look at the courts. No reforms and some of these places still operate like
as if they are existing in colonial times.
The two national airlines have been a disgrace since day one.

Look at the Indian consulates and embassies. In most places they
are kept like cooped up places where the public huddle up like sardines
while the officers and ambassadors have huge palatial rooms.
The colonial mentality of the IAS, IFS species have not changed.

Look at the Foreing minister. He is 80 plus in age and still cannot
make way for younger energetic men to do the job.

India is a hopeless case of boasts and braggarts and cursed with
    ego maniac netas and babus.

    Positives ?

Well, lets try to gather some positive examples because that could be more difficult.
The construction of delhi metro by former engineer from indian railways before time and within budget. Establishment of Konkan Railways by the same engineer. The high efficiency of indian postal service. Construction of the huge border security fence by Indian army.
