You’ve seen him as Anthony bhai, and Shahenshah and as Sexy Sam, but Amitabh Bachchan has gone a step further and reinvented himself all over again. This time, he will be seen on screen as a cartoon character. Bachchan has signed a deal with an animation company for a cartoon movie. “The deal has already been signed and the movie is expected to be out on screens in the next one year. It will be a full length feature film, with a cartoon character based on the Big B,” says a source close to the Bachchans.
“He has been giving a lot of ideas and the script is taking shape. They are also looking for a director for the film. However, an announcement has not been made yet because they are looking for the right date when Bachchan will be available.
The agreement has been signed with Thiruvananthpuram based Toonz Academy, which has also co-produced the forthcoming ‘Hanuman Returns’ as well as other cartoon shows. Bachchan is said to be extremely gung ho about the project, and was quite involved in the look of the character in film, which will be based on him.
After Priyanka Chopra designed a cartoon character for Virgin Comics and Shah Rukh Khan lent his voice for the Hindi version of ‘The Unbreakables’, the race to leave an animated footprint is on in earnest.
