Micromax, the second largest smartphone manufacturer in the company seems to be on quite a roll. A couple of days ago the company launched its first Windows Phone based smartphones, and now the company is readying yet another Android smartphone. This time it's the Canvas Gold A300, which was also leaked last week. The phone is already listed with online retailers and is available for purchase for Rs.23,999.
It also has a 16-megapixel camera and a 5-megapixel front facing camera. Notably, a listing on e-retailer Infibeam also suggests that the phone uses Sony's camera sensors.
Other features of the device include a 2,300-mAh battery, GPS, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi hotspot, and Bluetooth 4.0. Interestingly, it also runs on the latest version of Android 4.4.2 KitKat, which makes it only the fourth Micromax smartphone to be running the latest version of Android. Recently, Micromax also launched the low-end Unite 2, which also ran Android 4.4.2 KitKat.
