  • Prepare Yourself for Holi Colours

March brings in a whiff of blooming colours. It is that time of the year when we all will see the mash of red, yellow, green, blue and endless colours around us. While some will try to run away from them, others will joyfully play and get dirty; but, there is no escaping it.How to Throw an Exciting Holi Party at Home:

    1. Dress to have fun

To enjoy the festival thoroughly, it is most important to dress right for it. Pick a loose salwar-kameez in light colours like white or beige. Covering your body completely will prevent any direct contact with colours or any chemicals in them. While the light colours will show off the vibrancy of Holi colours effectively, but you must be careful as they tend to get translucent after getting wet.

    2. Let your hair down

There is no way to prevent your hair from getting wet or coloured in this frenzy. But, what you can do is shampoo and condition them well on the day of the festival. This must be followed by an oil massage and then you must tie them up into a bun. This will ensure that the scalp and hair do not catch the colours too easily. In case of short hair, apply hair gel.

    3. Show love for your body

Start the day with oiling your body in the morning with olive or coconut oil. Also, apply a thick layer of sunscreen on your face and body.

    4. Nail

Drench your cuticles in olive oil so your nails do not soak up any colours. Then, use a thick coat of nail paint on the nails and put Vaseline under the nail edges.
