PM Narendra Modi To Inaugurate 13th Pravasi Bhartiya Diwas

Pravasi Bhartiya Diwas is celebrated in India on 9 January each year to mark the contribution of the overseas Indian community to the development of India. The day commemorates the return of Mahatma Gandhi from South Africa in Bombay on 9 January 1915.The13th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas, which is being held in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, will be formally inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

It is held on 7–9 January each year and in this forum for issues concerning the Indian Diaspora is organized and the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Awards are given.
