ICC Cricket World Cup West Indies 2007 Inc. is again urging cricket fans worldwide to ensure they acquire match tickets for next year's tournament through authentic sources – CWC Official Travel Agents, Official Hospitality Agents or via the Public Ticketing programme.

This caution comes against the backdrop of the organising body's decision to cancel match tickets being offered for resale on the auction website, eBay.

The move, says ICC CWC 2007 Commercial Manager, Stephen Price, is being taken "to protect the integrity of the Event and its pricing structure and policy for Ticketing, which was designed to be as fair as possible and to afford everyone who wishes to attend a match the chance to get a ticket".

Everything seems to be wrong with time for Indians.
The Wrong time play as most of the matches will be played in night for Indians.
          The exams will be on
And most important the Indian Cricket Team's time does not seem to be good.
          Anyway Best luck
          Don’t worry, Be happy

I think so. I think Australia's gonna win. Or maybe South Africa. Well India is in a very easy group.

                India
                Sri Lanka
                Bangladesh
                Bermuda

2 teams qualify. I am very sure India's gonna qualify to the next round.

Cricket World Cup opens today with lavish ceremony

West Indies legend Sir Garfield Sobers has declared the World Cup open in Jamaica in a $2.6 million event that lasted over three hours.

The opening ceremony at the Trelawny Stadium included entertainers including Jimmy Cliff, Shaggy along with more than 2000 singers, dancers and performers.

The tournament lasts for 49 days involving 16 teams with 51 matches to be played. All 16 teams were present at the opening ceremony and took part in a parade through the stadium.

Over $800 million was spent on infrastructure in the Caribbean in bringing new and existing stadiums up to international standard for cricket's biggest event.

The chief executive of the tournament committee Chris Dehring said "The world will see the best cricketers competing against the backdrop of one of the most blessed places on the planet. They will see exciting cricket inspired by the rhythm and soul of the West Indies."

The first match of the tournament is on 13th March between the West Indies and Pakistan at Sabina Park in Jamaica, with the final to be played on 28th April at the Kensington Oval in Barbados.

West Indies defeated Pakistan by 54 runs in the opening match of ICC Cricket World Cup 2007 in Sabina Park on Tuesday night.
A fine all round performance by Brian Lara's men saw the tournament's home team restricting Pakistan to 187 after scoring 241 in the first innings. Pakistan's captain Inzamam-ul-Haq won the toss and chose to field. Powered mainly by contributions from Ramnaresh Sarwan and Marlon Samuels, the Windies posted 241, accelerating towards the end via a cameo by Dwayne Smith, who hit 32 off 15 balls. For Pakistan, free-swinging Shoaib Malik top-scored with 62 and was last man out as the crowd erupted in celebration. Till he was there, victory was possible though unlikely.

Scotland was crushed by reigning champions Australia in the second match of ICC Cricket World Cup 2007 on Wednesday at St Kitts.

Set a mammoth 335 to win, Scotland was never in the hunt and was all out for 131 in the 41st over to lose by 203 runs -- the second biggest margin of victory ever in the tournament.

Also on the same day Kenya cruise to victory
Kenya were chasing a modest total of 199 set by Canada in 49 overs.

Debutants Bermuda crashed to a massive 243-run defeat against Sri Lanka in their opening World Cup match here on Thursday. It was the second-biggest defeat by run-margin in the tournament history after Namibia's 256-run loss to defending champions Australia at Potchefstroom in South Africa in 2003.

Sri Lankan skipper Mahela Jayawardene (85), Kumar Sangakkara (76) and Chamara Silva (55 not out) feasted on a mediocre Bermudian attack to help their team post a challenging 321-6 after electing to bat.

Bermuda were then clueless against Sri Lanka's seamers before being dismissed for an embarrassing 78 in just 24.4 overs, the sixth lowest ever World Cup total.
