    mumbai blasts

As I flipped through the pages of the morning newspaper, the images of people wailing, the demolished bogies and blood-ridden bodies really terrified me. Really really sad indeed. Interestingly, all the targetted coaches were the first class ones. Moreover, these serial blasts have coincided with the grenade attacks on Srinagar tourists(mostly rich Bengalis). Mumbai incident has, unfortunately, overshadowed the latter.

No, I was wrong - its not the common man alone who suffers. Everybody is coming under their radar screen - high class travelers, worshippers, celebrities. They don't want to spare anyone.

    =================================================

Mr. Shivraj Patil, Minister of Home Affairs, was reported saying," We'll crush terrorism under our feet."

    Ridiculous!

Will someone ask him out as to why did his people crush POTA?

    ================================================

The million dollar question is how did those people manage to place the bombs on the coaches. Besides, other things to look into will be - What triggered the detonation? Did the passengers notice?

It can help avoid such incidents in the future.

This is completely ridiculous. I would be glad the day Shivraj patil does what he says. He only says. This can be avoided only in way. The way US stopped the attack. WAR!!. We should teach them a good lesson that we are not weak. We are tough too. Terrorists are monkeys who has no life. I say this to a terrorists face. I challenge any terrorist to justify what they are doing. Come in front of me and i swear to god i will kill that bastard.

lol, right now everyone wishes to do that. Who doesn't. Think if all the 1.1 billion people attack these terrorists what will happen to them. Just think. My god!! They will beg for mercy. Its just that we are nice and we don't do anything and thats the reason they do all these stuffs.

Here's a blog entry from a Mumbaite after the blasts.

Bombay Blasts: Terrorism, Communication & Fashion

While the sender and receiver remain unknown, the message of terror uses people as its medium, and broadcast media as the consumers of fear. When fear is sent and fear is seen by the sender, the message is considered “sent”. In fact, in its purest inhuman form, terrorism is communication.

The sender of a message needs feedback, like a receipt, to complete the test. The Varanasi blasts was Hindutva (BJP) testing its own atrophying muscle, and on Sunday Shiv Sena made a mockery of itself with the theatre of “statue desecration”. Almost every man I have talked with – on the streets, in restaurants and hotels, rickshaw and taxi drivers – believes that terror is almost always an inside job. And yet, the media does not hesitate in pasting the blame on Pakistan, LeT, jihadis, and some such amorphous abstraction. And that abstraction is always a euphemism for Islam.

Only first class compartments were bombed, because they accommodate middle-class executives – laptops and fancy cell-phones. They hardly ever look at each other, and remain lost in their screens. If a three-headed giraffe floated past the doorway, they wouldn’t notice. I have seen many a zero-legged people, four-eyed women, and three-headed giraffes float past the windy doorways of second class. Why don’t they make the entire train second class, since the view is so much better?

One of the images on TV was of a young hunk, like the bassist of any local heavy metal band, holding a phone and…then he turns to look at the camera, blood streaming down the sides of his face, just like in the movies. No, he will not let any pain show on his face, it won’t look good on the camera. That’s the new Mumbaikar for you – fashion without fear. Don’t let it show, don’t let the message get past you. That is why my moustache and turban is so important to me – you may bomb my city, you may kill my people, but as long as I live, you will not be able to take down my turban. Get the message?

The act of terror is like a stone dropped into a flowing river.

At once the subject of communication in the city becomes One, and at once the normal channels break down and new channels arise. Strangers look at each other and sigh, shake their heads, they smile. Two men walking down the road look at each other and one says, “Bal Thackeray is finished….” – the other nods in satisfaction. They are both thinking about the mayhem Shiv Sena caused on Sunday, which everyone knows. The connection is there, even if it is not there. Life finds a way to express itself in the arms of death. In this manner, communication is de-personalised and re-socialised. This is not a good thing for the terrorist, since his objective was entirely different. Very soon, having dissipated their fears through jokes, life trots back to “normal”.

Life is never normal. The only surprising thing about life is that it exists, and the rest is understandable.

I understand your sentiments and am with you in the moment of grief, which has yet again pointed out the weekness of our Indian intelligence.

The reason of targeting the Upper middle class people is very simple. These are the people actually responsible for the economic growth of India. Political terrorists do not want us to grow. But, Mumbaikars have yet again proved them wrong. So did the Delhi people when 2 explosions took place in Sarojini Nagar and Paharganj Markets. Life moves on, with grief and anger and courage.

Let's hope and pray that these bastards could be brought to justice as soon as possible.

Kabir hit the nail right in the head. The terrorist not only wanted to halt our economic growth but also intice communal violence in this country.First Varanasi, than Jama Masjid,Srinagar and now Mumbai. Its really sad that many who died are the only bread earner of the family and thats what pisses me off.Unlike the maoist who fight against the government these guys are killing innocent people without any rational explaination .

You think they are going to stop at that. After Kashmir they'll ask for Khalisthan,re-uniting Bangladesh, support the maoist rebellions and also the naxalites. Our current government doesn't have the balls to tackle this problem.Abolishing the POTA law has increased the number of terrorist activities. We need to learn a thing or two from the Israel.
If it were in place of MMS(manmohan singh) I would give last warning to Pres.Mushy and give him an ultimatum. If he fails to oblige destroy Karachi port. Second target destroy Karakoram highway cutting them off from any aid from China and the gulf.Pakistans economy cannot sustain a war more than 30 days. They have an old habit of surrendering quickly so nothing to worry.
Neutralize all terrorist camps destroy their entire defence system.

If not this there is another way to screw Pakistan.Take a few pages from the cold war.We need to increase our defence budgets consequently even Pakistan will increase their budget which is %wise already way more than India's.Pakistan's economy which is already in a very bad state would crack under pressure and Pakistan would bow down to India without firing a single bullet.

Slash man, that's it. You read my mind. You said what i wanted to do so eagerly. You are right on the target. Bull's eye.

Pakistan will never stop after Kashmir. Kashmir is just an excuse to disturb us. In India no one wants to be separate. Before 1989 there was no trouble in Kashmir. It was after that when they started teaching yound Kashmiri lads wrong things and brainwashed them. Then they targeted the Sikhs. What is this? They are stupid.

There should not be much tolerance. Ultimatum should be imposed. AND DID YOU KNOW THAT INDIA GAVE PAKISTAN $24 MILLION TO PAKISTAN A DAY BEFORE THE BLAST!!!!!!!!!!

according to the ultimatum either Pakistan gives back POK to us as compensation for this blast or else we are going in to destroy you guys once and for all. Painful destruction. Destroy their hospitals, industries, transport systems, airports, seaports, communication system, everything. They will starve to death. Enough is ENough. We should be ruthless in our vengeance. We should crush them just like the gods did to the devils. Again terrorism cannot be stopped by peace. If India goes to war now then India won't be evil. Even the gods killed all the demons when they wrecked havoc. And Pakistan has now killed 60k people in Kashmir and blame it on India. THey deserve extinction. If i was PM for one day i would give our millitary complete freedom and they will destroy Pakistan in one week and come back. They won't have to wait for 30 days.

                      no solution

no solution is to solve the problem of terrorist attack becoz when the kasmir
problem is not solve by our leaders. The kashmir problem is the issue of getting votes for winning.nobody leader is interested to solve the issue.
if issue is not solve the terrorist attacts are strike back.

Our Politicians are really incapable to find the solution of terrorist attacks or in the other words they don't want to find the solution for it because of their personal motives i.e to gain votes. But in all this only comman man suffers. And we all know about this and still we are choosing the same politicians, I don't know why?

absolutely right honey. and what others said like neha and yash. Try to understand. India just cannot attack pakistan. THere's international pressure. they can put sanction on us. Otherwise right now Pak would've gone for good.

Pakistan says that they are doing this for the cause of muslims in India. If that's so then why did they bomb Jama Masjid. WHy did they harm a muslim place of worship. Its just an excuse. They actually wants to destroy India.

Well guys, more than anything else, it was the failure of the Indian Intelligence that was responsible for the attack. Pakistan's motives and acts are not under our circle of influence buy yes, we 'can' control how our intelligence agencies operate, can't we?
