MUMBAI, India (AP) - Indian shares climbed Thursday as local and overseas funds bought market heavyweights Oil and Natural Gas Corp., Hindustan Lever and technology shares.The Bombay Stock Exchange's 30-stock Sensitive Index, or Sensex, rose 165.13 points or 1.4 percent to 12,274.27 points. The index traded between 12,167.91 and 12,285.90 points during the session.
On the rival National Stock Exchange, the 50-stock S&P CNX Nifty rose 50.25 points or 1.4 percent to 3,553.05 points.
