Akshay Kumar and Ashvini Yardi's 'Fugly' was slated to release on May 16. On the same date, Sajid Nadiadwala was devising to release his next direction, 'Heropanti'. While 'Fugly' marks the launch of India's boxing champion Vijender Singh and Anil Kapoor's nephew Mohit Marwah, Heropanti launches Jackie Shroff's son, Tiger.

Ashvini says, "Both Akshay and I -- discuss our personal relationship with Sajid and we took the combined choice to notify him of shifting out film's launch. Both our films are youth-oriented films and are releasing new skills in our market. So it's essential to provide both the films the opportunity they are entitled to and it wouldn't be reasonable to split the viewers. Although the styles may be identical, their personal topics are very exclusive."

Sajid, Ashvini and Akshay are long-standing buddies, and the latter two's action of shifting their film will only concrete their relationship.

Fugly is a coming-of-age dilemma set in the by paths of Delhi, rotating four buddies, Dev, Devi, Gaurav and Aditya and how this untroubled collection, at the limit of their lifestyles, get captured in a Fugly occurrence, which absorbs them gradually into the big bad globe of crime, state policies and the actual community in the investment.

The film also recognizes Sana Saeed -- the lovingly kept in mind Anjali, from the 1998 smash hit, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai -- in a unique music.
