    Disaster stuck to the crowd of Puttingal Devi Temple at Paravur, south of Kollam at 3:30 pm when entire bump of fire crackers burst. Due to this explosion the Meena-Bharani festival exploded and at the spot 40 persons were killed instantly as well as it affects the nearby buildings. Some eyewitness said that this disaster happen when a cracker meant to explode in the air fell to the ground and it spread sparks flying in all directions. That spark reached the storehouse, igniting fireworks stored there. This explosion caused damage to several structures in the vicinity.The quantity of people died in this incident was around 110 and 400 were injured.

    Really sad news!! Many people died and injured by this fire tragedy. Even roof of temple and houses in vicinity were also damaged. People over there ran around in panic, when blast cut off the power supply in temple complex, plunging it into darkness. Rescue went on all night and victims had been taken out of the rubble.

      Sources said there was uncertainty regarding the fireworks show till Saturday afternoon, hours before it began. “But the temple authorities managed to get the support of political parties. The fireworks display is held dear by many, it is an emotional issue. It was only in the evening that the temple announced that the show would be held.
      It’s better to give than to receive. Especially advice
