From being a shy girl from a small town in Haryana to reaching out to the stars by becoming an astronaut is an ultimate achievement.
It’s better to give than to receive. Especially advice

Some interesting things about - India's First Women Aeronautical Engineer
      • In 1994, Chawla was selected as an astronaut candidate.
      • Growing up in a male dominant society, Kalpana never let her dreams of flying be affected in any way.
      • She used to cut her own hair, never wore ironed clothes, learned karate.
      • Her interest in flight was inspired by J. R. D. Tata, India's first pilot.
      • She has done Bachelor of Engineering degree in Aeronautical Engineering from P.E.C at Chandigarh in 1982
