Srinagar: Kashmir plunged into complete darkness with electricity supply system crumbling after heavy snowfall for few days.
Normal life was severely affected due to heavy snowfall in JK that started on sunday that is on the new year.
No flights were operating in and out of Srinagar international airport as the runway was still covered with snow and the visibility was poor, an air traffic control official said.
He said flights might resume later in the day if the visibility improves, runway is cleared of the snow and if there was no further snowfall today. The 300-km Srinagar-Jammu national highway also remained closed.
