PUBG MOBILE Will Get Support For 90fps Very Soon

PUBG MOBILE will get support for 90fps very soon. The team has worked with Qualcomm to bring support to Android phones.

High refresh rate displays are the next big thing in the smartphone industry, with phones offering up to 120Hz refresh screens for smoother visual experience. It only then makes sense for game developers to include support for high-refresh-rate screens on their leading titles to offer the best visual experience. PUBG MOBILE, which has a commanding presence in the mobile gaming industry, has so far only supported 60fps frame rates, thereby not able to take advantage of these faster display panels. That is now about to change - thanks to Qualcomm.

At the Snapdragon Tech Summit in Hawaii recently, Qualcomm announced its flagship Snapdragon 865 chipset and on paper, it promises massive gains over the outgoing Snapdragon 855 chip. While the new chip offers big gains for AI and imaging, the biggest gains will in terms of gaming performance. The Adreno 650 GPU offers an improvement of 20 percent in graphics rendering whereas the CPU performance goes up by 25 percent.

To demonstrate the performance gains, Qualcomm has worked with the PUBG MOBILE team to bring support for 90fps frame rate gameplay. Hence, within a few month's time, phones equipped with the Snapdragon 865 chipset will be able to run PUBG MOBILE at 90 fps. Users of phones with 90Hz screens will be able to take full advantage of this development. That should translate to better gameplay for gaming phones as well as some of the premium flagship phones next year.

However, the 90fps support for PUBG MOBILE is being offered in a weird way. In order to play the game at 90 fps, you will need a phone that comes with the Snapdragon 865 chipset. That means you can only get the best experience on the most expensive phones from next year. But that's not the biggest issue.
High refresh rate screens are becoming popular and many companies are moving to 120Hz screens next year. Hence, the 90Hz support comes at a time when the industry is moving to 120Hz and beyond. Major flagship phones such as the OnePlus 8 Pro, Samsung Galaxy S11, Redmi K30, and others are all going for 120Hz refresh rate screens. Hence, only a few phones like the OnePlus 8 could take full benefit of the new 90Hz display.

Qualcomm also announced that PUBG MOBILE will get support for 10-bit HDR support, which means the game will support a wider range of colors, eventually improving the visual experience.

                PUBG MOBILE 0.16.0: What's new

                RageGear mode:

The RageGear mode, known previously as the Death Race mode, has been in the discussions for a while and now, it's finally out. The RageGear mode pushes players for the survival fight using vehicles. Players will be assigned randomly as either drivers or shooters in a team of two players and will be required to shoot down the opponents to bag the win. However, there are two modes under the RageGear mode.

The RageGear TDM mode will let players destroy enemy vehicles and earn 1 point for each vehicle destroyed. The team that achieves the target mode will win. The RageGear Pickup mode will let teams collect crates and the one to do that in the least amount of time wins.

                Snow Paradise in Erangel:

Under the Classic mode matches, the Erangel map will feature the Snow Paradise area. This new area will be covered with snowy mountains and players can ride on cable cars to reach the mountain tops. They can also try out freestyle snowboarding in the snowy region. While snowboarding, you can also eliminate your enemies.

                Perspective Switching:

This is a new button that allows players to make the switch between the first-person mode and third-person mode while playing. Hence, you can go in any Classic, Arcade, and Training Ground match, and can change the view from first-person to third-person and vice versa while playing.

Apart from these prominent additions, the game also gets minor improvements elsewhere. Players can now have their own weapon load-outs in EvoGround matches. There's continuous healing in the Classic Mode matches which allows players to heal while moving in the match. The game also gets a Play again feature along with a send friend request after a match.

                      Drones in PUBG MOBILE

One of the latest PUBG MOBILE leaks has revealed drones coming to the game in the future. The game could receive spy drones in the future.
PUBG MOBILE has been receiving some weird and crazy additions to the game lately. In the past few months, we have seen the Payload mode that brings helicopters and rocket launchers in classic battle royale style gameplay. You will also find zombies as well as death race-style vehicular warfare in the game. However, PUBG MOBILE isn't stopping at that and soon, you will find drones to play with on the game.

A recent gameplay video from a PUBG MOBILE streamer on YouTube, called Catch, shows a new drone that's involved in the gameplay. It seems to be inspired from the drones that you see in Call of Duty Mobile but PUBG MOBILE seems to have added a twist of its own. The gameplay shows the drone doing a surveillance of the area from the top and locating enemies. The drone doesn't have any firepower abilities and it only hovers in the air offering you a live feed of the surroundings.

This is quite different from what we have seen in Call of Duty Mobile. The Call of Duty Mobile drone is a killer drone and once it locates an enemy, it can hit the enemy with an explosion and get you kill points. The drone is PUBG MOBILE doesn't do that and it can only be used for spying. The gameplay video shows controls that are quite similar to the helicopter controls existing in the game.

Chances are that enemies could possibly shoot down the drone if they spot it hovering overhead. Hence, players might have to move the drone around to keep it alive. Sadly, the gameplay doesn't show whether there's a range up to which the drone can fly and whether the drone has to be brought back to the player in order to use it once again.

The drone seems to be under testing in the Chinese beta version of the game and it could eventually come to the global stable version of the game in a few months. And when it comes, you can possibly see the drone becoming part of a special game mode under the EvoGround mode.

PUBG MOBILE recently added a Rage Gear mode that imitates a Death Race style match involving vehicular warfare, available under the EvoGround mode. PUBG MOBILE also updated the 4V4 Team Deathmatch mode where players now have preset weapon modes that they start the game with.

PUBG Mobile Update To Bring Death Replay, New Weapons And Season 12 Goodies

                              HIGHLIGHTS
                              • PUBG MOBILE will get the 0.17.0 update very soon.
                              • The latest version will bring a host of new weapon updates.
                              • The Death Replay feature is also coming to the game soon.

It's been almost two years since PUBG MOBILE hit the Android and iOS app stores, and since then, the game has received a countless number of updates. The game was initially a pure battle royale game but as time passed, PUBG kept on adding new gameplay modes as well as new features to keep the gameplay existing. The game is now set to get another update that will bring in new weapons as well as celebrate two years of the game.

                              New Weapons:
-DBS is a new double-barrel pump-action bullpup shotgun that has been designed in a way to induce more damage in a short amount of time. The weapon will be available in special crates and airdrops for the time being and it can use the holographic, red dot sight and up to 6x scopes.

-The good old UZI can now also be equipped with a red-dot or holographic sight, which means players can shoot with greater accuracy.

Extreme Cold Mode: We heard of a new Cold Mode making its way to the game and the update 0.17.0 is bringing it finally. The name is a little misleading as this mode will let players try out everything to survive. Players will have to hunt for food by killing animals or light a fire in order to survive.

Tactical Markers: So far, you can only use a single type of marker on the map but the update will let players use eight different types of markers. Players can now mark enemies, positions, a spot for attack and more.

Death Replay: The Death Replay has been available on the PC version since a long time and it is now coming to the mobile version. The feature will show how you were taken by the enemy.

Season 12: The Season 12 will also come in with the next update and this one marks the second anniversary of the game. As usual, there will be a bunch of skins, clothes and other items themed on the celebration.
