It’s Christmas - Heralding an Inclusive and Universal Spirit
It’s Christmas time in the city and the season’s aura is all over the place. With shops being festooned and houses bedecked, almost all Christian families are busy preparing for Christmas day. Beguiling Christmas carols are heard everywhere you go.
Vinaya D’Souza, who owns a parlour-cum-boutique ‘Vanyas Creations’, says, “I adorned my shop with the Christmas tree and décor when the month began, and listening to carols the whole day enhances the spirit of this wonderful season of X’mas in me and my customers.”
People have already been preparing the X’mas sweets called ‘Kuswar’ which will be distributed to both the Christian and non-Christian brethren to spread the essence of X’mas season. Greeting cards are being sent to dear ones, from near and far, and a few houses have already put up Christmas stars in their homes a month back, to depict that Christ will reside in their abode on Christmas day.
