• Note: This ~43-minute midnight window is traditionally considered the most auspicious time for powerful meditation, mantra chanting, and performing the main Shiva Puja.

Fast Breaking (Parana)

• Vrat Parana Time: After 05:49 AM on August 12, 2026, once the Chaturdashi tithi concludes and morning prayers are offered.

Essential Puja Vidhi & Offerings


Lord Bholenath is famously known as Bholenath because He is easily pleased by devotion rather than grand items. A simple offering made with a pure heart is enough to earn His grace.

1. Purification: Take an early morning bath, wear clean clothes (preferably white or light colors), and sprinkle Gangajal around your altar.
2. Jalabhishek: Pour clean water or Gangajal over the Shivling using a copper kalash.
3. Panchamrit Abhishek: Sequentially offer milk, curd, ghee, honey, and sugar, followed by a final rinse of clean water.
4. Sacred Trimmings: Decorate the Shivling with Belpatra (three-leafed bilva leaves placed smooth-side down), white flowers, sandalwood paste (chandan), and dhatura.
5. Mantras: Continuously chant "Om Namah Shivaya" or the Mahamrityunjaya Mantra using a rudraksha mala.
