The second wave of Covid-19 has caused extensive disruption and placing a huge pressure on available medical infrastructure. Our healthcare and frontline workers are under great strain. Critical care items are in short supply, causing tremendous suffering to patients.
This is an unprecedented National Disaster and we all need to come together to provide aid and succour to affected persons, wherever possible.
CII is working towards supporting healthcare infrastructure by providing and deploying medical equipment including PPE kits, Oxygen concentrators and cylinders, ventilators, etc, and also setting up and supporting Covid Centres across the country. We would also be supporting the vulnerable communities affected by the loss of livelihoods due to the raging pandemic.
Keeping in view the magnitude of the problem, CII expects a long-term engagement with regard to relief work. This would once again require tremendous support and generosity from all Members.
