JEE Main 2016
For the admission of undergraduate Engineering programs in government institutions, private intuitions, government funded intuitions like IITs and NITs clearing the JEE (Joint Entrance Exam) Main is the important thing. JEE Main is also the eligibility test for the JEE Advance which helps to join in some undergraduate programs in IITs. As per JEE Main 2015 the states conducted the JEE Main exam are Maharashtra, Gujarat, Nagaland, Madhya Pradesh and Odisha.
Eligibility for Appearing JEE Main 2016:
Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 01, 1991 are eligible. In case of students from Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Person with Disabilities (PWD) had given five years of relaxation i.e born on or after October 01, 1986. Candidates who passed Class 12th/Qualifying Examination in 2013 or before as well as those who will appear in such examination in 2017 or later are not eligible to appear in JEE (Main)-2016. Candidates who appeared in class 12th/equivalent qualifying Examinations in 2013, did not pass in 2013, but passed in 2014 are also not eligible to appear in JEE (Main) 2016.
JEE Main 2016 Exam Pattern:
JEE Main consists of two different types of tests paper 1 and paper 2. Paper 1 is for eligible B.E and B.Tech and Paper 2 is eligible for B.Arch / B.Planning. For paper 1 there is two modes of examination pen and paper examination and online examination. For paper 2 there is only pen and paper exam. Paper 1 consists of 90 questions equally from Physics, Chemistry and mathematics. Paper 2 consists of three divisions first one is from mathematics, second one from aptitude, third one from drawing.

- Online Application starts from first week of November 2015
- Online Application ends on last week of December 2015
- Two week in second half of January 2016 for correction period
- Availability of admit card from first week of March 2016
- Pen and paper based exam starts on first week of April 2016
- Computer based exam starts on second week of April 2016
- Display of Answer sheet on fourth week of April 2016
- Main result on first week of July 2016
- Score card will be available after the main result
