  • Pakistan ready to play one-dayer in Ahmedabad

Ending the long-drawn deadlock over Ahmedabad, Pakistan today accepted India's proposal to play an additional sixth one-day international there as well as other changes suggested in the itinerary during the forthcoming cricket series.

"We have accepted the proposal to play in Ahemdabad," Pakistan Cricket Board's Media Advisor Abbas Zaidi told PTI from Lahore after a high level meeting of the Board formally cleared the proposal.

Enquired whether PCB had any objection to a possible delay in the start of the Indian tour, he said "whatever has been proposed by BCCI has been accepted by us".

The Pakistan cricket team was earlier scheduled to leave for India on February 25 to play three Test matches and five one-dayers. But the start of the tour could be delayed by a week and the Test that was earlier proposed to be held in Ahmedabad would now be played in Kolkata.

Zaidi said PCB was appreciative of BCCI for accepting its reservations over playing a Test match in Ahmedabad and coming up with a solution for the problem.
