वैलेंटाइन डे आने शुक्रवार को है, लेकिन इसके लिए बाजार सजकर तैयार है। बुधवार को गिफ्ट की दुकानों पर लोगों की भीड़ देखी गई। 14 फरवरी को प्रेमी जोड़े अपने प्यार का इजहार करते हैं। इस दिन गिरजा घरों में पूजा-अर्चना कर वैलेंटाइंस-डे मनाया जाता है। वैलेंटाइन-डे करीब आते ही युवाओं के दिलों में खलबली मचने लगती है। इस दिन हर कोई प्रेमी व प्रेमिका खुश करने और मौके को यादगार बनाने की तैयारी में जुट जाता है। वह अपने प्रेम का इजहार किसी खास जगह जाकर करना चाहता है। या फिर इंटरनेट व मोबाइल के जरिये संदेश प्रिय तक पहुंचाना चाहता है।
इस दिन कई तरह के गिफ्ट देने की परंपरा है। रेड रोज, हार्टशेप, क्युपिड के साथ-साथ लविंग कपल्स के माडल्स व चाकलेट आदि।
