Once, two friends, Mohan and Sohan, were walking through the desert. Suddenly, they started abusing each other, and Mohan slapped Sohan on the face.
The Sohan who got slapped was hurt and wrote in the sand:
'Today my best friend slapped me on my face'.
They found a river and decided to take a bath. The Sohan got stuck in the mire and started drowning, but Mohan saved him. Sohan wrote on a stone:
'Today my best friend saved my life'.
The Mohan asked him, "When I hurt you, you wrote in the sand and when I save your life, you write on a stone, why?" The Sohan replied, "When someone hurts us we should write it down in sand where winds of forgiveness can erase it. But, when someone does something good for us, like you saved my life, must engrave it in stone where no wind can ever erase it."
'Learn to write your hurts in the sand
and to carve your benefits write on stone'.
