More than 100 people have died in rain-battered Jammu and Kashmir which is witnessing its worst flood in nearly six decades. Nearly 10,000 people are stranded across the state where the Army is assisting National Disaster Response Force or NDRF personnel in rescue operation.
Home Minister Rajnath Singh will visit Jammu and Kashmir today to review the situation. He will conduct an aerial survey of the flood affected areas in Poonch, Rajouri and Anantnag districts. Mr Singh will also hold a review meeting with Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
