    The Indian Industry have taken up many initiatives for reducing the energy consumption and improving the energy efficiency. Majority of low hanging fruits have been plucked. However, the ever increasing fuel and electricity prices have put enormous pressure on the Indian Industry to further improve the energy efficiency & stay competitive in the global market.

    Against this background, Confederation of Indian Industry- Southern Region is promoting the concept of “World Class Energy Efficiency”. The main objective is to facilitate continuous performance improvement on energy efficiency front in Indian Industry and help them in achieving the world class standards.

    As part of this, CII is organizing a Two-day training programme on the latest energy conservation techniques on 16-17 October 2014 at Hotel PArk Sheraton, Chennai

    Faculty

    The faculty for the training programme will be the technical staff from the CII – Sohrabji Godrej Green Business Centre (CII – Godrej GBC). The technical team members are Accredited / Certified Energy Auditors by Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Ministry of Power.This team has experience of conducting more than 1350 detailed energy audits in various industrial sectors. CII audited units have achieved an annual recurring savings of more than Rs.2350 million.

    CII – Godrej GBC has conducted more than 250 national training programmes and 320 in-plant training programmes throughout the country, covering various sectors of industry, which include cement, paper, sugar, engineering, textiles, foundry, steel, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, tyres, food processing, hotels & commercial buildings, automobile & auto components manufacturing units etc.
