    World Champions Australia clinched the VB Series trophy at Sydney (S.C.G)after defending a score of 239 against Pakistan. Veteran seamer McGrath
    demolished Pakistan top order. McGrath forced his opponents chase to follow a similar path to the first match at Melbourne with a blistering opening spell, and finished with five wickets as Pakistan fell 31 runs short of Australia's total of 9 for 239.
    Oz fine bowling, which followed another inconsistent batting performance, wrapped up the series on a tricky pitch. Similar damage had being done by veteran seamer in Melbourne where visitors lost the match by 18 runs as McGrath claimed three wickets from his first six overs.
    Earlier Australia won toss and elected to bat in second match of best of three finals at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Gilchrist belted six boundaries and a six, scoring 40 off 30 balls and sharing a 55-run opening stand with Clarke. Ricky Ponting and Damien Martyn all scored in the 40s. Clarke scored 38 off 75 balls. Razzaq took two wickets, removing Gilchrist and Martyn. Naved-ul-Hasan bowled Brad Hogg (13) and Gillespie (0) with the first and second balls of the final over but was denied a hat-trick by McGrath, who got an inside edge down to the boundary on the first ball he faced.
    Razzaq returned 2-51, while Afridi had 2-38 and Naved-ul-Hasan had 2-69 off nine.
    In counter attack started thier innings with jerky start as Australian seamer Lee made the first breakthrough in the fifth over, having Umar caught at long leg by McGrath with Pakistan's total at 13. McGrath got his first wicket three balls later when Akmal was caught behind. Abdul Razzaq , Yousuf Youhana, Shahid Afridi fought battle for Pakistan.
    But at last Man-of-the-Match McGrath sealed victory for their side by clinching final two wickets for figures of 5 for 27.
