The Conference
Although Smart Cities concept has received a lot of attention in the last few years, it is still quite new in India. In recent times, several Indian cities such as Chennai, Hyderabad, Coimbatore, Bengaluru, Mangalore, Jamshedpur, Kanpur, Delhi and Mumbai have begun deploying smart technologies to efficiently provide civic services.
Certain new cities in India Kochi Smart City, Gujarat International Finance Tec-City and Lavasa are are currently being developed as model cities through private sector participation. The Government of Tamil Nadu too, in its TN Vision 2023, aims to create 'smart' cities with adequate infrastructure and basic essential services for all residents.
The one-day conference seeks to analyze key trends, showcase technology solutions, discuss and propose solutions and strategies relevant to this field.
